October is the time for scary things, we introduced the monsters that go bump in the night. We learned about the Halloween theme flashcards like witch, ghost, skeleton, goblin, bat, spider, and pumpkin. We did a lot of fun and silly dances like “Skeleton Dance” and “Go away”
We also made a scary monster and ghost with sticking, coloring and ripping the paper!!
The letters that we learned this month were A, B ,C and D. With flashcard and ABC song, our student was able to enjoy learning the alphabet.
For feelings we focused on happy, sad, and hungry, followed by the actions to match the cards.
Shapes we used for this month were triangle, square, circle and star. We used the shape puzzle box so our student could touch the shapes and figure out where they go.
With numbers we focused on 1-5, we also sang the 7 steps song along with working number matching puzzle and flash cards.
We took our student out for his first trick or treating at the school. He loved getting candy and walking around the neighborhood. He was a pumpkin for this year’s Halloween!!
Our student is getting great at the weather board, finding the right day, month, season and weather!!
We also have been working trying to get our student to speak like “Please”, “Thank you!”
Our student loves animals and dinosaurs very much, he also makes the sounds for both of them. He does such a good job on craft and coloring!!
